If you've played one of Rocksteady's Arkham games, you'll get the basic concept of The Amazing Spider-Man: you travel around a vast open world, battling baddies and completing side missions, when you feel like it, you can progress with the main story missions. For much of the game, however, the fun comes from web-swinging around New York battling crooks and supervillains in side missions. Set a few months after the events of the first film, the game pits Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy against mad scientist Alistair Smythe. It was released as a tie-in to the 2012 Andrew Garfield film of the same name.
